Executive Letter
Doug Sheer
From the Chairman

Dear Friends of ATOA,

As we enter 2017, Artists Talk On Art, founded in 1974 and holding its first panel in January 1975, enters its 43rd consecutive year of presenting panels and dialogs featuring visual artists and focused on visual arts-related subjects. In that period we have provided a forum for over 6,000 artists and other art world members to express their ideas. Simultaneously, we captured those events in over 1,400 recordings and subsequently digitized and created an archive to preserve them.

After use of more than a dozen different venues, ATOA is currently enjoying a great relationship with the National Arts Club, at 15 Gramercy Park South where it holds its panels and dialogs.

ATOA panels and dialogs run the gamut of both purely aesthetic conversations as well as career-enhancing self-help topics. Consult our on-line postings at this site or our Facebook page for details.

Have an idea for a panel or dialog? Let us know. Ours has always been and remains a series sensitive to the grass roots interest of the broad art community.

I look forward to seeing you at one or more of our winter and spring events at the National Arts Club.

Thank you,

Douglas I. Sheer
