From the Chairman
Artists Talk On Art is returning to Chelsea as the guests of SOHO 20 Chelsea, and this marks the third time that the gallery has hosted us. At the same time we make this move, we will celebrate our 35th anniversary, the first panel ~ "What Ever Happened to Public Art," featuring James Wines, Athena Tacha and Louise Bourgeois occurred Friday, January 10th, 1975. The new location is Suite 301, 547 West 27th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues. The new night will be Thursdays, and the new time 7:30 PM, with doors opening at 6:30 PM, although the gallery space will be open after its normal 6PM closing to allow people attending openings there or at other galleries in the building to see the hanging show before the ATOA panel begins. ATOA's functional office will also be within the gallery space, but its legal and mailing address will remain ATOA, P. O. Box 1384, Old Chelsea Station, New York, N Y. 10113 and its phone number (212) 779-9250. Our first panel in the new home will be Thursday, January 28th at 7:30PM. We look forward to seeing you there. Let me also take this opportunity to thank our hosts for four years, the School of Visual Arts for their generosity and support. And, particularly, Joseph Cipri, executive director of the School of Continuing Education our main contact for his many kindnesses. And, Rob Barton director of A-V services and his crew for their hard work and long hours on our behalf. And, the students, alumni and faculty who attended in our panels. Enjoy your holidays and see you in late January at SOHO 20 Chelsea. Doug Sheer Prior Season Executive Letters |
